Japanese-style stitched journals
Learn traditional Japanese stab stitch binding to make three handmade journals of varying sizes. (Brilliant for recording your creative ideas or giving as beautiful gifts!). All materials included plus bookbinding tools provided; you’ll use a mix of fine printed and plain papers, threads and other adornments.

Survival sewing
Tired of paying a tailor for simple alterations and repairs? In this workshop you’ll learn basic hand-sewing skills (such as sewing on replacement buttons and clasps properly) to tackle simple repairs and take up hems and cuffs. All materials provided. Please bring one garment to fix or adjust during the workshop. No previous sewing experience required.

Garden/cafe apron
Learn how to use a sewing machine and make a clever pocketed apron, perfect for gardening, cooking or washing up. You’ll learn how to wind a bobbin, thread a machine and sew straight seams, plus get tips on choosing fabric, pinning, cutting and ironing. Soya teacup candle
Create your own beautifully scented eco-friendly candle using soya wax, natural essential oils, and a vintage china teacup set. Soya wax is made from soy beans, a renewable natural resource that burns longer and cleaner than paraffin wax and is free from harmful petrochemicals. All materials provided (including vintage china) or bring a favourite cup or other container.
