Knitted fingerless mittens
Want to learn to knit? Already have more than enough chunky scarves in your closet? You’ll learn how to knit, purl, cast on, and cast off. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be well on your way to completing a pair of pretty – and practical – fingerless mittens. We’ll provide a pair of sustainable bamboo knitting needles and a variety of yarn colours for you to choose from.

Knitted mini holiday stockings
Stash tiny gifts and treats inside miniature holiday stockings embellished with stripes, sparkly threads and other wintry flourishes. You’ll learn how to knit, cast on and cast off to create one or two festive stockings. (You can also use the knowledge you’ve gained to fashion full-sized socks later on.) We’ll provide a pair of sustainable bamboo knitting needles and a variety of yarn colours for you to choose from.

Crocheted flowers
Wear a flower in your hair, on your coat, or even on your handbag. You’ll learn basic crochet stitches to fashion a single-stranded flower (left, top) then embellish with beads, buttons and other bits of haberdashery. Time permitting, you’ll make a more advanced flower (left, bottom) or take away detailed instructions to complete at home.

Knitted baby booties
Learn how to cast on, knit and cast off to create a beautiful pair of baby booties. (The perfect gift for a soon-to-be parent!) We provide all materials including bamboo needles, satin ribbons and baby-soft cashmere/merino blend yarn in your choice of pink, blue or yellow.

Crocheted gadget cozy
Protect your phone, iPod, or other gadget from scratches with this clever little crocheted pouch with button closure. You’ll learn how to crochet, using simple stitches and ‘working in the round’ to create a flower. All materials provided. No previous crocheting experience required. Please bring your item so you can size your cozy to fit.
