Paper Cutting Art
The age-old tradition of paper cutting has never been more popular, thanks to the talent of contemporary artists such as Rob Ryan.
In this workshop, you’ll learn more about this timeless craft – which has its roots in 6th Century China and in European folk art – then create an intricate cutting of your own design from a single sheet of paper! You may then use the cutting as a piece of art or you could scan it to use as greeting card art, a T-shirt design, or anything else you desire!
You’ll leave with at least one finished paper cut of your own design and creation, complete with mounting card stock and a cellophane envelope to protect your creation, plus tips for permanent mounting, framing and other ‘next steps’ for your artwork. All tools and materials provided, including quality cutting papers and card stock in a wide assortment of colours.
