Additional information

Amelia Coward trained in textiles at Central St Martins and The Royal College of Design. She worked for many years in the commercial textile industry designing upholstery fabrics but eventually became disenchanted by the use of mass production techniques. “I missed the art of actually making with one’s hands,” Amelia recalls. She’s since come full circle with her own business, Bombus, which features bespoke furniture and art accessories for the home, created using the age-old technique of découpage. She sells through private commission and via her Etsy shop. Amelia also created the Re-Craft blog to showcase other crafters who reuse and recycle materials.
