Skip the plastic bag and pack this pretty, practical tote instead. You’ll learn how to use a sewing machine (absolute beginners welcome!), get tips on choosing fabric, plus learn pinning, cutting and ironing methods. You’ll take home a shopper with a handy pocket and a coordinating rag-edged corsage. All materials included (a variety of fabrics will be available for you to choose from), plus a 10% discount voucher for goodies from Unpackaged. No previous sewing experience required. Additional information
Kristina Nilsson inherited an interest in fashion and sewing from her grandmother, who owned a haberdashery shop. After finishing school, Kristina left her home country of Sweden and moved to the UK to study Fashion Design Womenswear at the London College of Fashion. While studying, she gained valuable experience working in the studios of Giles and Mulberry. After showing her graduate collection at the Royal Academy of Arts, Kristina was snapped up by a leading high street retailer to design its tailoring range. With her sights set on bigger things, Kristina is currently designing the first collection for her own label The Potion, which will launch in Spring 2009.
