Zippered cosmetics bag

Learn to set a zipper, sew curved seams, line a bag and more to take home a stylish trimmed cosmetics pouch. All materials are included; a variety of printed and plain fabrics plus coordinating zippers will be available for you to choose from. (Plus you’ll leave with a pattern so you can make bags for gifts at home!) Prerequisite: You’ll need to know how to thread a machine, so sign up for our Intro to Sewing Machine (try one of these classes: 1, 2, or 3) or have the equivalent skills. Additional information

Kristina Nilsson inherited an interest in fashion and sewing from her grandmother, who owned a haberdashery shop. After finishing school, Kristina left her home country of Sweden and moved to the UK to study Fashion Design Womenswear at the London College of Fashion. While studying, she gained valuable experience working in the studios of Giles and Mulberry. After showing her graduate collection at the Royal Academy of Arts, Kristina was snapped up by a leading high street retailer to design its tailoring range. With her sights set on bigger things, Kristina is currently designing the first collection for her own label The Potion, which will launch in Spring 2009.
