Workshops
Café apron

Learn how to use a sewing machine and make a clever pocketed apron, perfect for gardening, cooking or washing up. You’ll learn how to wind a bobbin, thread a machine and sew straight seams, plus get tips on choosing fabric, pinning, cutting and ironing. All materials included (a variety of fabrics will be available for you to choose from).
This class serves as a prerequisite for our clothing workshops so once you’ve completed it you can learn to sew knickers, skirts, tops and dresses! (More about our sewing levels here.)

Additional information
Kristina Nilsson inherited an interest in fashion and sewing from her grandmother, who owned a haberdashery shop. After finishing school, Kristina left her home country of Sweden and moved to the UK to study Fashion Design Womenswear at the London College of Fashion. While studying, she gained valuable experience working in the studios of Giles and Mulberry. After showing her graduate collection at the Royal Academy of Arts, Kristina was snapped up by a leading high street retailer to design its tailoring range. With her sights set on bigger things, Kristina is currently designing the first collection for her own label The Potion, which will launch in Spring 2009.
