Soya teacup candle
As seen in Vogue this month! Make your own beautifully scented candle using ecofriendly soya wax, natural essential oils, and a vintage china teacup set. You’ll learn about essential oils to create a blend of your choice, then fashion your own container candle. All materials provided (including teacups and saucers) or bring a favourite cup or other container.
Note: As the molten wax needs time to solidify, enjoy a drink or a spot of shopping on nearby Upper Street while your candle cools; or we can post it to you for a small fee.- Level: All levels

A-line skirt
Sew a flattering A-line skirt in this two-part workshop using a Simplicity pattern in your size (we’ll provide, see note below). You’ll learn how to use a commercial pattern, insert a concealed zipper, sew darts and attach a facing. Great for sewers who want to take the next step and begin making their own clothes. Recommended fabrics: Corduroy, cottons, linens, moleskins, and lightweight denims. Note that the skirt is unlined so avoid very light, transparent or itchy fabrics.
Prerequisite: You should already know how to thread a machine, so try one of our Intro to Sewing Machine workshops (here or here) or have equivalent skills. For more about our sewing levels, see here.
