Appliqué & machine embroidery tea towels
Give your kitchen a style boost with a pair of coordinating appliqué linen tea towels you’ve designed and stitched yourself. You’ll create a floral-inspired motif (we’ll have a variety of fabric for you to choose from, plus templates for inspiration) then affix shapes using freehand machine embroidery stitches. Time permitting, you’ll also learn some hand embroidery stitches to incorporate into your design.
Prerequisite: You should already know how to thread a machine, so try one of our Intro to Sewing Machine workshops (here or here) or have equivalent skills. For more about our sewing levels, see here.
