Cupcake decorating: Swirls, Sparkles + Roses
If you’ve ever marvelled at custom cupcakes and wished yours could look as beautiful, here’s your chance to learn from an expert! Our instructor will teach you skills that you can do at home, using simple cake decorating tools. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a box of your own delicious creations!
You’ll learn to spread and pipe buttercream icing like a pro, use subtle and vibrant paste colours, roll and cut marzipan to create decorative shapes, create delicate roses, and adorn your cakes with glitter, sprinkles and more!
NOTE: This class is a great partner to the Cupcake Decorating: Figurines & Flowers workshop!
All materials provided, including plenty of unadorned cupcakes and packaging to transport your masterpieces home safely. You’ll also take home recipes for cupcakes and buttercream icing, plus tips for successful baking and decorating.

Not Your Granny's Crochet Squares
Join us for a modern take on the ‘granny square’! You’ll fashion classic crochet building blocks that form the foundation for handbags, headbands, place mats, blankets – even bunting!
You’ll learn to crochet in the round, create lace techniques, use new crochet stitches, plus learn techniques to attach two or more pieces of crochet. Choose from 4-5 different patterns then take away instructions so you can continue hooking at home! All materials provided, including hook and assorted yarns.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not an absolute beginner’s workshop. You should be able to make a simple chain, plus be familiar with double crochet, half treble, treble, double treble, and slip stitches before coming to class. We do not teach the basic stitches in this workshop. To learn them, try our Crocheted Fashion Accessories class.

Patchwork Quilt
Design and create your own quilt over three sessions. You’ll take home a lovely 85cm by 65cm quilt (diagram here), suitable for use as a play mat, cot or lap quilt, or your own work of wall art!
*Learn to make and piece quilt blocks
*Use batting and backing
*Machine quilt
*Bind edges and mitre corners for a professional finish
*Batting and threads provided
Please bring your own fabrics (quantities below) or come a few minutes early to purchase from our shop. We have more than 120 varieties of printed and solid fabrics to choose from.
The class breaks down as follows, over either three weeknights or two Sunday sessions:
*Choose and combine fabrics, learn rotary cutting techniques, cut and stitch squares together to create the patchwork top.
*Baste quilting layers and machine quilt.
*Cut and make binding, bind quilt edges and mitre corners to finish.

Knockout Knickers
Tired of boring high street knickers? Sew your own! You’ll make a pair of sexy side-tie or regular seam briefs in class then take away patterns and instructions to create more at home.
*Make a pair of side-tie or regular seam briefs
*Choose from a wide variety of fabrics
*Learn to take your measurements correctly
*Cut fabric to size on the bias
*Insert elastic at hips and legs
*Trim with ribbons, roses and more!
*Take home a sized pattern to keep stitching at home.
