Make a Skirt
In this two-part workshop, you’ll learn to use a printed pattern to sew a flattering A-line skirt. This is a great class for confident sewers who want begin making their own clothes. You’ll correctly take your measurements, learn to use a pattern, plus insert a concealed zipper and line a garment. This pattern fits UK sizes 8-22.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner’s workshop, but a good introduction to dress-making for someone with recent basic sewing experience. You should already know how to sew a straight seam and confidently use a machine with some projects under your belt before coming to class. (If you haven’t sewn recently, please start your sewing journey with one of our Intro to Sewing Machine workshops: Cafe Apron, Cushion Cover or Tote Bags)

Zippers Clinic
Overcome your fear of zippers in this practical skills workshop! You’ll learn to insert a regular zip, an invisible zip, and sew a semi-concealed zip (look like a pro when you make skirts or cushion covers!). All materials provided.
At the end of the class you’ll leave with samples of each technique, printed zip instructions, plus a stylish little zippered oilcloth purse you made yourself.
Prerequisite: You should already know how to thread up a machine and sew a straight seam. (If you haven’t sewn recently, please sign up for one of our Intro to Sewing Machine workshops: Cafe Apron or Cushion Cover or Tote Bags).

Cake Pops
A cake pop is a delicious blend of cake and frosting – rolled into one and perched atop a stick! Hand-dipped in chocolate, then lovingly decorated, cake pops make great bite-sized additions to birthday parties, weddings or any event that deserves a special touch.
In this 2.5 hour class, we’ll teach you the tips and techniques to make and decorate 7 different styles of cake pops, then send you home with your finished pops, each tied in a lovely beribboned cellphone bag, plus recipes and the step-by-step instructions to make many more at home! We’ll also stock the hard-to-find ingredients, from the crispiest coating to the perfect length lolly sticks, in our adjacent shop.

Soap Making
Handmade soap is long-lasting, moisturising, and creates heaps of creamy bubbles!
You’ll work in three small teams to create soap batches, then take home 5-6 bars that you’ve adorned with botanicals and other natural additives.
*Demystify the chemical processes used in soap making
*Find out how to safely use and store lye/caustic soda
*Learn about and blend essential oils
*Work with beeswax, coconut, olive and other
high-quality oils
*Mould, cure and care for your soap.
*Gloves, goggles, and aprons provided. *Recipes, instructions and supplier details included.Please note that your soap will be ready to take home after class, but will need to cure for 3-4 weeks before using. Class photos here.
