Knockout knickers
Tired of boring high street knickers? Sew your own instead! You’ll make a pair of briefs or thongs in class, then take home patterns and instructions to stitch briefs and thongs as well as boy shorts. You’ll learn to insert elastic, create the perfect bow, and have a go on overlocking machines to finish seams. All materials provided, including printed cottons, satins, and lace plus fancy trimmings.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner’s workshop. You should already know how to wind a bobbin, thread a machine and sew a straight seam before coming to class. (If you haven’t sewn recently, please sign up for one of our Intro to Sewing Machine workshops: Cafe Apron, Cushion Cover or Tote Bags)

Crochet fashion accessories
Crochet is the new knitting! In this two-part beginner’s workshop, you’ll learn basic crochet stitches to create colorful flowers and necklaces. (Wear your flowers as corsages, pin them on handbags or even attach them to hair clips!)
In the first session, we’ll teach you to create a chain, a slipped stitch and double crochet to fashion basic flowers. In the second session, you’ll learn half and full treble stitches to make a more formal, stylised flower and get a start on a lovely crocheted sphere necklace.
All materials provided, including a wide selection of wool, a crochet hook and various embellishments, plus take-home patterns and instructions. No previous crochet experience needed.
NOTE: Want to learn more? This class serves as a prerequisite to our Super Cool Crochet Squares and Crochet Amigurumi Toys workshops.

Super Socks!
Put your best foot forward and learn to knit socks! In this three-part workshop for experienced knitters who want to take their skills further, you’ll gain an understanding of sock structure and learn to knit socks from the top down. Starting with the cuff, you’ll turn a heel and shape a toe on double-pointed needles.
All materials provided, including high-quality bamboo needles, two balls of yarn (choose from a wide variety of colours), finishing needles, plus instructions and a pattern to take a way and make more socks at home.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner’s class. You should be an experienced knitter with several projects under your belt but be interested in learning how to knit socks, use double-pointed needles, or both.
