Creative Alterations
Give your well-loved or vintage garments a bit of TLC and create something new to you! In this 3.5 hour clothing surgery and skills workshop, you’ll learn useful alteration techniques to take away at least one finished garment, plus the skills to alter many more at home or in our sewing cafe.
*Skills learned include taking up hems, inserting darts, shortening straps, repairing zips, and more.
*Great for vintage purchases!

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an absolute beginner’s sewing workshop. You should know how sew unaided before coming to class, plus have a few projects under your belt. Extraordinary Embroidery
Learn the classic skill of embroidery, with a contemporary twist!

Book Binding-Flexible Cover Journal
Fashion a lovely gift, tick off your to-do list or collect your thoughts in a durable yet stylish A5-sized journal you make yourself!
Using traditional book binding techniques, you’ll choose from a variety of soft cover and stitching colours, plus learn to work with a needle and book binding awl. All materials and use of specialist tools included, plus instructions and a supplier list for you to take away. No previous book making experience required.
This book makes the perfect companion class to our new Hard Cover Journal workshop, though they can be taken independently.

Festive Fascinator
Looking for something extra-special to wear to a wedding, a party, or just for fun? In this four-hour workshop, you’ll create a gorgeous festive fascinator headpiece of your own design, using sinamay fabric, feathers, flowers, veiling and other lovely trimmings. Our expert instructor will help you create a shape and design that will flatter your face shape and hair style.
All materials and instruction, plus tea, coffee and biscuits, included. No previous millinery or sewing experience required. Please bring a packed lunch if desired.
