Book Binding-Hard Cover Journal
You asked for a hard cover book binding workshop (to complement our Flexible Cover Journal) class, and here it is!
In this workshop you’ll make, stitch and cover a hard cover journal using book binding cloth (buckram) and traditional stitching techniques. Choose from a wide variety of cover colours and personalise your journal by creating cutout(s) (see a detail here) to display a business card, personal photos, a map or other personal ephemera. Bring your own printouts and we’ll show you how!
You’ll learn to work with a needle and book binding awl. All materials and use of specialist tools included, plus instructions and a supplier list for you to take away. No previous book making experience required.
