Parties and bespoke events

Let us plan your bespoke business event, hen do, party, team-building activity or other group gathering!

Team-building and other bespoke business events:

  • The Make Lounge team can create workshops, festival activities, experiential marketing events, or crafting demonstrations in partnership with your business or organisation. Crafting is fun for both genders, extremely social and reflects positively on your brand!

  • Some of our current and past clients include The National Theatre/Alternative Village Fete, Swarovski, Twestival, The London Transport Museum, Oasis Stores, SweetTree Home Care Services and The V&A Museum.

  • We have two spacious venues (seating 8 to 60 people) in North London.

    • Adult craft, birthday and hen parties:

    • Crafting is a wonderfully social activity and each guest leaves with a stylish, hand-made item. (See crafting suggestions, right). Prices start from £35 per person; fees include all materials, expert instruction, plus coffee and tea.

    • We have two spacious venues seating 8 to 60 people in North London.

    • Saturday hen parties start at 2:30 pm and last up to four hours, depending upon the project you make. Other days and start times depend upon availability.

    • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. The deposit is based upon the minimum number in your estimated group size: either 8-14 guests or 15+ guests. We are unable to confirm a booking until we receive payment.

    • We require a final head count at least seven working days before the event so that we may purchase and prepare materials.

    • You may bring your own wine/champagne and party nibbles. We have wine glasses, champagne flutes, platters, bowls, cake stands and more available for you to use with our compliments! We also have iPod docking stations, so bring your favourite playlist!

    • We can provide cakes, cupcakes or other delicious baked treats. Details available upon request.

      Planning a party? We provide expert instruction, specialised tools and equipment, high quality materials, tea, coffee, all in a fun, friendly atmosphere! Here are our most popular craft party options (or let us know if you prefer something more gender-neutral).

      Fascinator Hats (4 hours, £55 pp)

      Design and create a festive fascinator headpiece (perfect for wearing to the wedding or to a cocktail party) using fabric, feathers, veilings and other trimmings.

      Glam Jewellery (3 hours, £45 pp)

      Fashion your own glitzy earrings and bracelets using Swarovski pearls and crystals, beads and semi-precious stones. Most people create several pairs of earrings and a bracelet, depending on the complexity of the design.

      Nipple Tassels (2.5 hours, £40 pp)

      Embrace your inner Dita Von Teese as you create your very own pair of saucy, twirling nipple tassels! You’ll learn how to use a wide range of fabrics, ribbons, crystals, tassels and other trimmings to decorate a unique pair of these luxury burlesque accessories.

      Cupcake Decorating (2.5 hours, £47 pp)

      Learn to pipe buttercream icing like a pro, use subtle and vibrant paste colours, roll and cut marzipan to create decorative shapes, and adorn your cakes with glitter, sprinkles and more! At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a box of your own delicious creations, plus recipes for cupcakes and buttercream icing.

      ‘Fancy Pants’ Knickers Customising (2.5 hours, £35 pp)

      Each person brings a pair of knickers (either for the hen or to keep for herself) and we’ll teach you how to transform them into glamorously gorgeous pants! You’ll use Swarovski crystals, ribbons, fabric, applique motifs (geared toward the hen’s personal interests and hobbies, if desired) and more. Includes a lovely organza bag for each guest to take their decorated treasure away in.
